Earth I'm currently a PhD student at the University of Oxford. Even though I'm doing Astrophysics, I'm in the Department of Theoretical Physics, as my supervisor, Prof. Carole Jordan is in there.

I have just started in October 2002 and am just about figuring out how to analyse my spectra. I'm looking at X-ray spectra from G and K giants taken by the X-ray satellites CHANDRA and XMM-NEWTON, and analyse them in order to constrain the physical parameters of stellar coronae.

I had to write a first year report, and will probably manage to put it here as a short introduction to what I'm doing, in the near future.
